Since its release last year, Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2 has managed to get some prizes in the indie game category at various industry shows. Which is not accidental: it really reminds us of Beholder where we also had to organize secret surveillance of many people, trying to figure out all the mysteries of their personal life. However, instead of portraying an extremely gloomy totalitarian state, this game has a rather ordinary modern consumer society with corrupt politicians, street robbers, annoying preachers, financiers, musicians and movie stars.
We are not playing for a minor official, burdened with both family and official duties, but for a completely unremarkable single unemployed bum, by chance – with the help of some girlfriend from social networks – accessing a closed and secret online community under the name “Primate Research Club” (it has nothing to do with the special services – on the contrary, the federal police themselves may be interested in our dubious activities, with all the unpleasant consequences that flow from this).
Under the “monkey watching”, there is actually peeping into the life of dozens of strangers with the help of hidden cameras installed in their apartments and offices. Strictly speaking, we have no specific global goals, besides satisfying our personal curiosity, well, and also banal survival (a small simulator of everyday life, with expenses for food, sleep and payment for a small rented apartment attached). In addition, you also need to comply with the “rules of the club”, financing the installation of an increasing number of cameras – and as far as possible resisting the temptation to “feed the monkeys.” Under the last euphemism lies the possibility of hidden and not so much interaction with your «guinea pigs”, but since this is the whole essence of the game, it is unlikely that you will avoid violating the prohibition. Play Do Not Feed The Monkeys online and see how good you are at surveillance!
