Would you be able to work in a company that puts people under surveillance for 24/7? Your job is to observe them through hidden cameras and provide everything you see to your supervisors. At the same time, you must also lead a daily life sleeping, eating your meals and paying the bills with cheats.
The gameplay is clearly divided into days: time flows constantly, and one minute corresponds to approximately a real second, and work or sleep takes several hours. The graphics in Do Not Feed the Monkeys is pixel though, which means a bit to the amateur, but your eyes are not at all annoyed – and you will mostly admire only views from not very powerful lenses of hidden cameras, and therefore finding fault with the quality is hardly worth it. Only characters occasionally visiting us, such as neighbors or a postman, will be displayed in full height – by the way, the neighbors also include local sound effects, from classical opera arias to pretty down-to-earth cough, noise from a drill or nailing, etc.: realistic, entertaining and very atmospheric.
The interface boils down, first of all, to the desktop. In addition to the monkey application itself, which will be discussed separately, our services include labels such as the Calendar with reminders, for example, about the upcoming visits of a landlady every few days withdrawing $ 90 per visit from our cash. Another thing to keep an eye on is the E-mail with various kinds of advertising and important information from the club. Chat allows you to communicate with some people on the network (at first, only one colleague who invited us to the lesson lives here). Finance keeps tracks of your income and expenses. And, finally, Browser is a way to search for information. A little later, an online store of some products will also appear, however, it is allowed to buy only “gifts” to the addresses of your supervised – you will not be able to treat yourself to a new TV or a bottle of tequila. All this is designed to help you perform your job at maximum efficiency. Don’t get your eyes off the screen to notice anything suspicious on time and get a promotion up the career ladder!
